Parking on Campus

Panoramic View of Manchester Community College

Members of the college community must assume responsibility for their own personal safety and the security of their personal belongings by taking simple, common sense precautions. For example, although the campus is well lit, you may feel more comfortable calling Campus Safety at (603) 703-8487 for an escort to your vehicle. Also, consider using the "buddy system" to walk to the parking lot. Vehicles should always be locked and valuables stored out of sight. Any suspicious individuals or activity should be reported immediately.

Parking Permits

Parking permits can be obtained from the Front Desk between the hours of 8 am - 6 pm, Monday through Friday. All students are responsible for obtaining a permit for each vehicle they drive on campus. Vehicles without permits will be ticketed. There is no charge for parking permits.

Parking Permit Registration Form

All students, faculty and staff may park their motor vehicles on campus free of charge. All vehicles parked on campus, anytime, must be properly licensed and inspected. Students, staff and faculty are required to have a parking permit displayed on the lower left corner of the vehicle's rear window.

Parking Violations

If you receive a parking violation, you must pay it as soon as possible. If you do not pay for your violation, you will not be able to register for classes and receive your grades or transcript. You can pay for your parking violations in the Bursar's Office (Student Services Center, Suite 202).

Parking Overnight

Students, faculty, and staff are responsible for advising Campus Safety if they are planning to leave their vehicle on campus overnight. They must leave their contact information with Campus Safety.

Designated Parking Areas

There are separate lots for student and faculty/staff parking. If a lot is not designated to a particular group, it is open to all individuals, including visitors. Students who park in faculty/staff parking will receive a ticket.

Handicapped designated parking is reserved for vehicles operated by handicapped persons. All vehicles parked in handicapped designated spots must display State handicapped license plates or decals. If you need a temporary handicap parking permit due to surgery, broken bones, etc., you must first supply the Office of Campus Safety with documentation from your physician, and they will then issue a temporary parking permit. Any vehicle illegally parked in a handicapped parking space will be issued a ticket and will be towed or booted.

There are parking spots reserved for individuals with hybrid or alternative fuel vehicles.
